The Walt Disney Company Lauded for Innovation in Accounts Payable

Brainware Distiller Cited as Key to Media Conglomerate’s Shared Services Strategy


May 17, 2012, Ashburn, VA—Brainware congratulates The Walt Disney Company(Disney) on receiving the 2012 Huntington Innovation Award for their achievement in accounts payable shared services at Fusion 2012.

According to the announcement by The Institute of Financial Operations, “the goal of the Huntington Innovation Award is to recognize the best of the best, and to showcase the ideas, accomplishments and creativity of the most innovative, progressive and forward-thinking individuals and organizations in the financial operations world.”  In honoring Disney for their innovations, The Institute notes, “using Brainware’s Distiller application to complement its existing platform, The Walt Disney Company built a comprehensive invoice payment strategy that innovates at their astonishing scale levels (nearly 6 million invoices annually).”

Andre Hale, Disney’s Director of Accounts Payable, accepted the award on behalf of his team.
