Brainware Releases Globalbrain v5.3

Bedrock Search Application Acquires Enhanced Functionality

October 26, 2011, Ashburn, VA—Brainware, Inc., the leading provider of intelligent data capture and enterprise search solutions, announced today the release of Brainware Globalbrain v5.3, the latest evolution of the company’s signature application for enterprise search. Differentiated by its n-gram approach to contextual search, fault tolerance, language independence, and ability to scale across multiple repositories and terabytes of enterprise data, Globalbrain is the engine that underpins Brainware Distiller’s intelligent data capture technology.

In addition to such enhancements as an RSS feed and more robust performance monitoring and system audit capabilities, Globalbrain is leading the way by providing users:

  • The ability to preview a full document—even images—with embedded highlights that match the search terms.

  • Search list processing, which allows a user to upload a database list or spreadsheet as a query. This feature enables a powerful ability to cross-reference data sources; for example, it would allow governmental authorities to search checks against a terrorist watch list.

Brainware customers have selected Globalbrain search technology, as both a standalone application and a supplement to Distiller-enabled document processing efficiency, to spend less time seeking data and more time putting data to use.

“Recent protocols demand that I review all payments to physicians, to ensure each of them can be reconciled with an existing contract,” said Robert Banwart, Director of Accounts Payable at Resurrection Health Care, which currently leverages Globalbrain as a supplement to their Distiller implementation. “I use Globalbrain because it saves my department a great deal of time and effort that would otherwise be spent retrieving paper documents. Our accountants also use Globalbrain to efficiently recall invoices related to specific checks, and I anticipate the technology benefitting additional users as we continue to roll out Distiller more broadly.”

“Large enterprises globally require ever more scalable, capable technologies that allow users to maintain control over their growing data repositories,” said Charles Kaplan, VP of Marketing at Brainware. “Simple-yet-powerful applications like Globalbrain allow them to answer customer and vendor inquiries, comply with audits both internal and external, and provide the business intelligence management uses to keep their businesses healthy. Brainware has evaluated Globalbrain 5.3 under real-world circumstances on SQL Server, and we are confident that this represents the most powerful offering yet for solving customers’ ‘big data’ concerns.”
