Brazilian BPO Successfully Deploys Brainware Distiller in Latin American Market
March 30, 2011, Ashburn, VA —Brainware, Inc. the leading provider of intelligent data capture and enterprise search solutions, announced today that OM30, a business process outsourcer (BPO) and Knowledge Management solutions provider, is using Brainware Distiller™ for the efficient processing of invoices for some of the largest and most prominent businesses in Latin America, including but not limited to:
- Camargo Corrêa—Operating with over 58,000 employees in 18 countries, the Camargo Corrêa Group is involved in the engineering, generation and distribution of energy, public service concessions, real estate development, shipping, and oil and gas, as well as cement, steelmaking, footwear and textiles.
- Braskem—With annual revenues surpassing $14 billion (U.S.), Braskem is the largest producer of petrochemical products in the Americas, and seventh largest in the world.
- Cielo—With 1.6 million affiliated merchants, Cielo, formerly known as VisaNet, is one of the five largest electronic payment networks in the world, and the largest in Latin America.
When evaluating available solutions for processing unstructured and semi-structured documents, OM30 was taken by Brainware’s powerful capability for accurate data extraction, reliance on a very small sample set for interpreting thousands of diverse document formats and an ability to integrate with their SAP ERP platform swiftly.
“We tested competitive products, including offerings from Kofax and ReadSoft, but Brainware, with its best-in-class Distiller product, offered the strongest results,” said Marcello Burattini, Chief Executive Officer at OM30. “We chose Brainware as a partner because we see a great value proposition when combining our strategies with their technology. Integration with SAP, especially given the specifications for language and compliance associated with Brazil’s largest companies, was our greatest challenge, but Brainware was able to make it happen, and our improved productivity has translated to more customers.”
“Brainware technology offers a tremendous proposition for outsourcing providers worldwide,” said Carl Mergele, Chief Executive Officer at Brainware. “By streamlining complex document processing without regard to language or legacy software, Distiller allows these partners to consolidate their operations and take on exponentially larger workloads, and OM30’s success is a testament to our business case.”
