Worldwide Religious Organization Selects Brainware Distiller for Accounts Payable Automation

Intelligent Data Capture Enables Shared Services Center to Process Invoices Submitted Globally

February 3, 2011, Ashburn, VA —Brainware, Inc. the leading provider of intelligent data capture and enterprise search solutions, announced today that a US-based, global religious organization has selected Brainware Distiller for accounts payable automation. Following a period of extensive due diligence during which the client reviewed competing technologies, Brainware not only demonstrated the highest levels of data extraction from complex invoices, but also proved how it can scale to the myriad other document types being entered manually today.

The initial implementation will deploy Distiller for processing nearly half a million pages annually into a PeopleSoft ERP system at their shared services center, to be followed by an even broader rollout of the technology for capturing more than two million invoices annually from points worldwide. This organization conducts business in most of the world’s countries, with differences in languages, currencies, tax codes and document formats imposing a significant burden on their administrative workforce.

“More and more organizations are realizing the tremendous opportunities our technology offers in shared services,” said Carl Mergele, Chief Executive Officer at Brainware. “By providing a single platform through which documents of all formats and languages can be processed, Distiller delivers efficiency and visibility that is not achievable through manual processes.”
