Large European BPO Inks Multi-Million Dollar Deal with Brainware for F&A Automation

Enables Firm to Expand Operations While Significantly Reducing Manual Transaction Processing

January 4, 2012, Ashburn, VA—Brainware, Inc. announced today that a major European provider of business services for finance and accounting has selected Brainware Distiller for the efficient automation of invoice processing, as well as other financial documents. This contract, which is valued at more than $2 million, will enable the customer to capture and reconcile header and line item data from millions of pages annually.

The customer selected Distiller on the basis of the unique proposition it offers business process outsourcers (BPOs) and shared service centers. By minimizing the need for manual data entry of information from complex documents such as invoices and remittances, services can be rendered more quickly and with greater accuracy, ensuring the firm’s ability to hit customer SLAs; additionally, streamlining the process enables the BPO to accept more contracts while reducing current staff levels.

“Leading BPOs are turning to automation to help them scale their operations and offer new and higher value-added services to their customers,” said Carl E. Mergele, Chief Executive Officer at Brainware. “Brainware’s technology is a platform for processing data in any language with minimal human intervention. By automating transaction processing with new and disruptive technology like Distiller, business services providers can profitably enter new markets and offer new services without continually adding new headcount.”
